Are you truly ready to become my next « coup de cœur »?

By Mylène Grégoire, President and PCC coach at Mymosa &CO Consulting inc.

Five months ago, guided by an irresistible intuition, I published my first "coup de cœur" on LinkedIn. Since then, every week, I take the time to highlight the qualities of exceptional people I’ve met, worked with closely or from a distance, or who simply inspire me. You know, those people you wish you could clone because they shine with authenticity, brilliance, and humanity? Well, they are my target audience.

Each "coup de cœur" is carefully chosen, without seeking to attract influencers or boost my network. It’s not about advertising my services, seeking favors in return, or chasing personal recognition. My only goal is to shine a light on extraordinary individuals who deserve to be known and recognized. That’s my strength, but in reality, it’s the power to see and reveal the greatness in others, often hidden even from themselves.

My texts are crafted with emotion and love. I weigh every word to ensure it faithfully reflects the person being celebrated. If the emotion doesn’t resonate when I read it back, I go back to my keyboard. Because what comes from the heart goes straight to the heart. I then send each text to the person concerned, 24 hours before publication, to ensure the accuracy of the information… and to give them the surprise of seeing themselves through my words.

But here’s the paradox: although my "coup de cœur" recipients are touched by the recognition, they often struggle to accept it. "Oh, I don’t deserve this attention!", "I’m embarrassed!", "Do you think I look like I’m boasting if I repost your note?"… These kinds of responses, filled with disarming humility, strike me every time. Sometimes I even hear, "Oh, you’re too kind…" — as if my text reflected my generosity more than their merit. Listen carefully: I’m not just "kind," I’m honest, and what is written comes from the heart.

Most of my "coup de cœur" recipients feel a sense of vertigo when faced with the spotlight, preferring the reassuring shadow to avoid the risks of being showcased: the fear of not appearing as remarkable as my writings suggest, the anxiety of not getting enough “likes”, or the discomfort of being put forward. But once the initial wave of emotions passes, they finally savor the well-deserved praise. These are moments of self-rediscovery, of reconnecting with precious colleagues and friends, and of reaffirming that our value and contribution are timeless.

This recognition, though difficult to receive, reminds each of us that we also exist through the eyes of others. It’s this duality between the desire to be seen and the discomfort of being put in the spotlight that makes these moments so touching and human. Because, deep down, the two greatest human needs are to feel loved and to be recognized. And through these "coups de cœur," I celebrate these needs by making those who deserve it shine. For me, it’s a privilege and a reward in itself: to be paid, in a way, to love people.

So, are you truly ready to become my next « coup de cœur »?
